How many items come in a display?
Each photo in our Lawn Displays albums has the number of items included as well as the size of each individual item listed below the picture. Click on the picture in the album for details. We include as many items in a display to
attractively fill an average yard and the number of items is dependant on the size of each item. Any of our items that are over 4
feet tall are paired with a half order of any smaller items to
complete your display. Inflatable items are so large they stand alone as a display. It is possible, but not recommended, to pair 2 larger items to make a complete display. Smaller items can be added for an additional fee per item. Not all items are available in large quantities.
If I'm celebrating a 60th Birthday, can I get 60 items for my display?
Not exactly. The number of items in each display depends on the
display you choose, not the number of years you are celebrating. It is the sign that comes with each display that declares the number of years, if you choose to do so. Many
of our items aren't available in large quantities. We include as many
items in a display to attractively fill an average yard. However,
some of our display items can be added to your display for an extra
charge if they are available. Please ask when you call to place your order.
Do you deliver in winter?
Yes, we deliver 365 days a year! We have special equipment that
will allow us to set up our displays even on frozen ground.
However, we ask for your understanding and flexibility on delivery times in bad
weather and in the dead of winter.
Can you deliver them tonight?
Yes. We prefer as much time as possible,
but we can usually deliver the same night,
even if you forgot to call us until the last
minute.
What time do you deliver?
Our regular service is between 11:00 PM and
6:00 AM. Again, we ask your patience in inclement weather. We do our best, but delivery times are not guaranteed.
Can I specify a time for delivery?
If you need them a little later or a little
earlier let us know and we can probably work
around it. If you need a specific window,
such between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM, then a
$25 charge will apply since we'll have to
adjust our schedule to accomodate you.
Can I have a day time delivery?
Yes, but there is a $25 surcharge and we
can't guarantee the time, since our crews
work at night, not during the day. We also require at least 4 day's notice for day time deliveries for the same reason.
What if I don't like where you put the display?
Can I move it?
Please don't. We keep a careful count of
everything we leave to make sure there's
nothing left behind when we come back the
next night to pick everything up. If we can't
find everything there will be a $25 surcharge
for the additional trip we'll have to make to retrieve our items. We don't want to have to wake you at 3am to ask for our items back!
My community doesn't allow signs on the lawn. Can I still get a display?
Yes! Most communities are
familiar with us, and since our displays are for a very short time,
it's never been a problem in a residential area. In fact, we've never had a community that didn't allow our display items, including our company's signage.
Can you deliver indoors, such as to an office?
Yes, but there is a $25 surcharge and we
will only deliver indoors to a public building, such
an an office building or party hall, but never
to a private home. Also, since we need access
to the building, you must guarantee that
we can get inside in the middle of the night
to make our delivery as well as access the
next night to make our pickup. If we can't access our items for a
timely pickup, there will be a $25 surcharge for the additional trip.
Please note that most of our displays stake into the ground so will not be able to stand indoors.
What if it rains or the sprinklers go off?
Everything will be fine -- everything is waterproof!
Can you deliver to a gated community?
Yes, if there's a 24-hour guard. You'll need
to advise them that we'll be there 2 nights
in a row. If there's no guard, then you'll
need to provide us with the gate code to
enter.
Can you deliver to a business?
Yes, as long as the business has its own grassy property. Most of
our displays require a grassy area. In no case can we put
displays between the public sidewalk and the street. Inflatables
must be set up on grass or dirt and require outdoor power for an electric blower at all
times, even at night and after hours.
Most cities are familiar with us, but we do recommend that you check
with your city before ordering. Some cities consider us "signage"
and require a permit for our display, especially our
Inflatables or if you want our display for more than 1 day. If
you are simply celebrating a birthday, retirement or new baby, a permit
probably isn't necessary. If you want a display for commercial
purposes, such as a Grand Opening or advertisement, your city will
almost certainly require
a permit.
Securing proper permits is your
responsibility. We cannot be held responsible if the
authorities require us to remove the display before the normal
time and we will not issue a discount or refund.
What if I want to combine a display or want more than the normal number?
All of our displays can be mixed and matched
provided you have room on your lawn. Let
us know how many you'd like at the time you
order. Additional charges will apply for additional items beyond what is considered a full display.
Can we keep any for a souvenir?
No. Our displays are for "rental" only.
Can we put a name on the sign and/or keep the sign?
No. If you deface the sign or display you will be charged $10 per
item. If you'd like your loved one's name displayed, we can spell
it out in big yelllow letters for an additional $10.
Can I get 2 signs?
Yes, additional signs are $5 each.
Do you have smaller displays?
You may order fewer items for your display,
but the price remains the same.
What is your delivery area?
The entire Greater Metro Detroit Area - all of Wayne, Oakland and
Macomb counties as well as some parts of Monroe, Washtenaw and
Livingston counties.
Can you deliver to other states?
No, but many other states have companies just like
ours. Please check out our Links page for a short list or call the Chamber of Commerce in the community you'd like a delivery to be made.
